Every fragrance measured the same way

    Each fragrance is profiled

    Every one of the 34,680 perfumes and colognes was rated on a long list of questions about its notes, character, and audience.

    14 dimensions

    A psychometric model condenses those ratings into 14 dimensions, each scaled from −4 to +4 around the average fragrance. The sliders on this page set targets on those same scales.

  3. 3

    Two ways to match

    Describe what you want finds the fragrances whose profile sits closest to your settings. Start from fragrances you like finds the scents whose full rating profile correlates most strongly with the ones you named.
